Snake River Rowing Service
Please allow Hamish, your host to guide you (small family) on the beautiful scenic section of the Snake River from Wilson Bridge, to South Park Bridge. (About two hours plus meal and / or photography time). These are private trips on the Tear family's own raft - or if you prefer - we will rent a river dory. Hamish will fully cater to your requests - an early morning (best for wildlife) 'breakfast' float, or a 'dinner and sunset outing (also good for wildlife and photography). Lunch trips are available too, or just a straight run down the river.

Mike Dowling’s rootsy, bluesy, jazzy Greater Yellowstone Music Camp, held in the beautiful Grand Teton Mountains near Jackson Hole, Wyoming, offers the finest in acoustic blues and swing instruction for guitar, fiddle, mandolin, and bass. Instructors for 2008 include Mike Dowling, John Miller, Orville Johnson, Roger Bellow, Dix Bruce, Randy Sabien, Liz Masterson, Suze Spencer Marshall, Cary Black and Jeff Newsom.

4th Annual Targhee Fest
Join us for this fantastic event now extended to three days. A festival for music lovers everywhere and should not be missed. This year, Emmy Lou Harris will headline this three-day weekend festival of acoustic-based Americana, Folk, Blues and Roots music. Great food, vendors, games and on-site activities are all a part of our summer music festivals, including this Targhee Institute event.

21st Annual Bluegrass Festival
Our sentimental favorite, now in it's twenty first year, the Bluegrass Festival always headlines famous and familiar talent as well as local favorites. The grandfather of Bluegrass Festivals in the northern Rockies, in 2008 our 21st Annual Bluegrass Festival, August 8-10, will likely be one of the most memorable music festivals of the summer season. Headliners for 2008 include: Tim O'Brien, Spring Creek, the Stringdusters, 2008 Grammy Nominee Tony Trischka, as well as Abigail Washburn & the Sparrow Quartet featuring Bela Fleck with Casey Driessen & Ben Solle . Great food, arts & crafts, games and on-site activities are all a part of our summer music festivals and this Targhee Institute event.

Grand Teton Ultras & Trail Marathon
Grand Targhee Resort and Grand Teton Races are teaming up to bring a world class endurance foot race to the Tetons over Labor Day Weekend.
Now in its fourth year, the Grand Teton Races offers runners a choice of distances: Trail Marathon, 50-miles or 100-miles. All races utilize the same 25 mile loop, consisting of single track and service roads with just 3 miles of pavement per loop.
There is also a Fun Run for the kids!
